Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Siliguri to Phuentsholing

    Upon your arrival at Bagdogra Airport or NJP railway station, you will be warmly greeted by our local representative. From there, you will be driven to Jaigaon, approximately a 180 km journey that takes around 3-4 hours. Jaigaon is the gateway to Phuentsholing, a charming town situated at the Indo-Bhutan border, standing at an elevation of 298 meters (977 feet). You can enjoy a leisurely evening in Jaigaon or Phuentsholing. Overnight stay at a hotel in Jaigaon or Phuentsholing.

  • Day 2

    Phuentsholing to Thimphu

    After breakfast, complete immigration and permit formalities before proceeding towards Thimphu, a drive of about 165 km taking approximately 5 hours via Chukha. Thimphu, nestled at an elevation of 2300 meters, sprawls across a beautiful valley on the west bank of the Thimphu Chhu River. Spend a relaxed evening, ideal for a leisurely stroll in the valley. Don't miss the chance to relish the delightful momo kopi, steamed dumplings filled with a delicious mix of cabbage, onions, cheese, and butter. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

    Thimphu City Tour

    Begin your day with a visit to prominent landmarks in Thimphu such as the Art & Craft School, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, National Library, Handicraft Centers, and the Memorial Chorten, a tribute to the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Explore other sites like Tashichoo Dzong, Buddha Dordenma statue, Bhutan Simply Museum, Folk and Heritage Museum, and more. Capture a glimpse of the scenic Thimphu valley from BBS Tower, visit the 15th-century Changangkha Monastery, and observe the rare "Takin" at Motithang mini zoo. Enjoy free time exploring the market.   • Day 4

    Thimphu to Punakha/Wangdue

    After breakfast, depart for Punakha/Wangdue, a drive of about 70 km taking 2-3 hours. En route, visit Simtokha Dzong and pause at Dochula Pass (3100 meters) for breathtaking views of the Himalayas on clear days. Explore Chime Lhakhang, known as the Temple of Fertility. In Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong, a visually stunning architectural marvel built in 1637 by the first Shabdrung. Don't miss crossing the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the oldest and second longest suspension bridges in Bhutan. Overnight stay at a hotel in Punakha/Wangdue.

  • Day 5

    Transfer to Paro & Sightseeing

    Early morning, check out and enjoy a picturesque transfer to Paro. Along the way, visit the historic ruins of Drukgyal Dzong and enjoy stunning views from the Paro Airport viewpoint. In Paro, visit Ta Dzong, Rinpung Dzong, and cultural sites like Dungtse Lhankhang and Kyichu Lhakhang monastery. Experience Bhutan's heritage by dressing in traditional attire available at select locations. Check-in and relax in the serene ambiance of Paro for the night's stay.

  • Day 6

    Tiger's Nest Monastery Hike

    After breakfast, take a scenic drive to the iconic Taktshang or Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Perched on a steep granite cliff at 2950 meters, this sacred site offers awe-inspiring views of the northern Paro valley. It's associated with Guru Rimpoche, and it is believed that meditating here brings immense merit. Embark on an unforgettable hike to this revered site. Overnight stay in Paro.

  • Day 7

    Paro to to Phuentsholing

  • Day 8

    Phuentsholing to Siliguri

    After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Bagdogra Airport or NJP railway station, approximately a 4-hour drive. Your journey concludes, leaving you with sweet memories of your Bhutan trip.
