Overview

The Moksha Char Dham Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage covering Badrinath, Dwarka, Jagannath Puri, and Rameswaram, representing the four cardinal directions of India. Established by Adi Shankaracharya, this journey is believed to grant moksha (liberation) from the cycle of birth and death. Devotees seek blessings from Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva at these revered shrines. Spanning across Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu, the yatra offers deep spiritual fulfillment, cultural richness, and divine experiences for devotees.

Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Haridwar – Barkot (170 km / 6-7 hrs)

    Pickup from Haridwar and drive to Barkot via Mussoorie
    Visit Kempty Falls (optional)
    Check-in at hotel & overnight stay

  • Day 2

    Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (36 km drive + 6 km trek one way)

    Drive to Janki Chatti and trek to Yamunotri Temple
    Visit Surya Kund, Divya Shila and take a holy dip in the Yamuna River
    Return to Barkot for an overnight stay

  • Day 3

    Barkot – Uttarkashi (90 km / 4 hrs)

    Drive to Uttarkashi and visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple
    Check-in at hotel & overnight stay

  • Day 4

    Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 km one way / 3-4 hrs)

    Drive to Gangotri Temple via Harsil Valley
    Take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River (Ganga’s origin)
    Return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay

  • Day 5

    Uttarkashi – Haridwar (200 km / 6-7 hrs)

    Drive back to Haridwar
    En route visit Rishikesh (Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat)
    Drop at Haridwar, concluding the tour.
